Registered Nurse (Mental Health & Disability)

JOB OVERVIEW

A mental health nurse is a registered nurse who specialises in working with people who have a mental illness like depression, postnatal depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or psychosis.
A mental health nurse works with someone to help them manage their life. That might be specifically about their mental health, but it might include helping with any physical, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.

ORGANISATION INFORMATION

The client is based in Canterbury; however, the majority of the healthcare vacancies are within Christchurch. There are over 9500 staff, and the vacancies are all in Christchurch and focusing on mental health.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

Must be a registered nurse with at least 2 years’ post-grad experience within mental health
Must have obtained your New Zealand Nursing Council Registration, and if so, provide the relevant details.
Please also confirm if you are in the process of obtaining your New Zealand Nursing Council Registration (e.g. if you’re dealing with the CGFNS or already at NCNZ processing stage.)
