Description:
A nationwide New Zealand automotive provider is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians/Mechanics with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join their team in the lower South Island. This role offers a wide range of work opportunities, and while auto electrical qualifications or Warrant of Fitness (WoF) certification are not required, they would be beneficial.
As a successful candidate, you should be reliable, possess an outgoing personality, have a desire to learn new things, and be able to see a job through to completion. You will be required to work at least 40 hours per week on weekdays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with additional Saturday work hours rostered from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Your main responsibilities will include carrying out automotive servicing, general maintenance, and automotive repair work on all types of passenger and light commercial vehicles. You should also be able to diagnose vehicle faults using appropriate equipment, communicate clearly with customers regarding issues with their vehicle, explain required parts and repair work, advise on pricing and timeframe, and perform set work within industry-accepted and agreed timeframes while maintaining a high quality level of work with minimal faults.
